Two Palestinians were fatally shot by the Israeli military in the West Bank on Friday, including a 14-year-old, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported.

The ministry identified the two Palestinians as 14-year-old Adel Ibrahim Daoud, shot in the head near Israel's separation barrier in the town of Qalqilya, and 17-year-old Mahdi Ladadweh, who was shot in the chest by soldiers northwest of Ramallah

Palestinian witnesses say the clashes with the soldiers in al-Mazra'a al-Gharbiyeh broke out as villagers were trying to stop an attack by settlers on a house in the village.

Meanwhile, another resident of the village told Haaretz that clashes began after villagers attempted to prevent the settlers, who arrived accompanied by the army, from using a spring they have been coming to on a weekly basis.
