The Health Ministry in Ramallah also reported that the boy was severely wounded in the head by a rubber bullet that penetrated his skull, and was admitted for emergency surgery at a hospital in Nablus.

The clashes come after U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled the Middle East plan on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, three Palestinians were wounded by live Israeli fire near Ramallah in a protest against Trump's plan. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, one man was shot in the chest and two others in the limbs. The three of them are in stable condition.

A total of 42 Palestinians were wounded in protests against the blueprint throughout the West Bank, mostly from tear gas inhalation. One protester was evacuated to a Nablus hospital after sustaining a rubber bullet to the head.

Palestinians of all political factions have unequivocally rejected the blueprint, which has been dubbed "The Deal of the Century." In an address Tuesday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said: "Trump, Jerusalem is not for sale. Our rights are not for sale. Your conspiracy deal will not pass."

Also on Wednesday, the Israeli army announced it would bolster its forces in the West Bank and the Gaza division amid fears of violence following the unveiling of Trump's plan. Several patrol troops have already been sent to the West Bank, after a Home Front Battalion was sent for reinforcements in the Palestinian villages east of Nablus on Tuesday.
