Palestinian Shot in Attempted West Bank Stabbing Attack, Army Says

Army reports no casualties, and says the suspect was transferred to the hospital in unknown condition after being shot by troops

A Palestinian man attempted to carry out a stabbing attack in the West Bank and was shot, the army said Sunday morning. 

According to an army statement, the suspect drove to an area near the Fawwar refugee camp south of Hebron, exited his car and approached Israeli soldiers while wielding a knife in an attempt to stab them. Soldiers called on the suspect to halt and began the arrest procedure. The suspect ignored their calls and the soldiers fired on him. 

The suspect was evacuated to the hospital; his condition is unknown. The army reported no other casaulties.
