Islamic Jihad Says Member Killed in Northern Gaza Blast

Two other people were injured in what witnesses said appeared to be a 'work accident.'


The Islamic Jihad said that one of its members was killed in an explosion in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday.

The group said that two others were wounded in the explosion, which witnesses said took place in Beit Lahia.

The statement identified the Islamic Jihad member as Mazen Loulou, a resident of Gaza's Shujaiyeh neighborhood, and said that he was "killed in the line of duty."
