Three men have been executed for the rape of a woman in the southern Iranian province of Hormozgan, ISNA news agency reported.
The three were hanged on Wednesday in the central prison of the provincial capital Bandar Abbas, the local Chief Justice Ali Salehi told ISNA.
According to Salehi, the men kidnapped a woman a few months ago, brutally raped her and then murdered her.
In rape and child abuse cases, executions are carried out particularly quickly.
Iran has been the focus of international criticism for many years because of the many executions it carries out.
