While Israeli officials have expressed optimism that with American help Jerusalem could soon wrap up an agreement with Lebanon over the border between the two countries’ maritime economic zones, the final disposition of the dispute remains in the hands of the Shi’ite militia movement Hezbollah, according to one of Israel’s top security experts.
