Bill Maher: I’m Not anti-Muslim, I’m Anti-misogyny - I Thought Feminism Was a Thing With Liberals

Bill Maher, HBO’s late-night political satirist, forewent his regular “Real Time” show over the weekend for a live comedy special, which was almost solely devoted to U.S. President Donald Trump.
Maher covered ground from explaining why U.S. Vice President Mike Pence actually would be better than Trump, to how Trump’s “micro-penis” is ruining the country – even having time to explain, yet again, why he is not an Islamophobe.
The comedian started "Bill Maher: Live From Oklahoma" by hitting Trump where it hurts him most: offering support to one of his most prominent critics. Maher reminded viewers how in 2012 he gave Barack Obama’s presidential campaign $1 million to help him defeat Mitt Romney and Saturday he vowed to give Romney $1 million to save the United States from Trump.
“I would gladly give Romney $1m tomorrow if he would take over America. Swear to god!” Maher joked, “I will become a Mormon, how about that?”
Maher went on to slam Pence and U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions for politicizing religion during the last year.

“I saw that they were trying to use the Bible to justify separating children from their parents at the border. So I hope you will agree with me that, above all things in this world, what needs scrutiny and criticism is religion. And that means all of them.”
This opened the door for Maher’s regular critique of the American left when it comes to Islam. “This ridiculous fetishizing of Islam on the part of liberals has got to stop.” Maher complained. “I’m not anti-Muslim; I’m anti-misogyny; I thought feminism was a thing with liberals."
“Yes, I’m against it when they throw a tarp over a woman like a motorboat. Have you ever tried one of those things on? It’s stifling,” Maher said of the burka. “Men make women walk around all day in a fucking voting booth so [men] don’t have to be responsible for their erections. Your move, #MeToo.”
Maher went on to explain why Trump can’t handle criticism, arguing that the president is convinced everything he does truly is the best and the biggest. “That’s why he thinks he has a big dick; it’s the biggest one he has,” Maher joked. “Doesn’t everything about this man just scream micro-dick? Talking about his dick at the debates? THAT guy is president.
“We don’t know how he gets information. It is entirely possible Sean Hannity blows it directly up his ass,” Maher continued to a big laugh from the crowd.
Maher concluded that liberals should not fear the Mueller probe or Trump’s impeachment.
“Mike Pence is the kind of loathsome Christian hypocrite that, if I didn’t hate religion already I would start,” Maher said. “But Mike Pence is not trying to become a dictator. He does not talk about locking up journalists and political opponents. He can name all three branches of government. He is within the normal parameters of Republican awful. He is not the head of a crime family.”
