X-Men director Bryan Singer is developing a documentary about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, together with the Israeli-born director Guy Shalem and Same Name Productions, Variety reported on Thursday.

The documentary, tentatively titled "In the Middle of the Middle East," is set to focus on an Israeli-Arab activist who fights for coexistence "while searching for true peace within himself," Variety reported.

Singer, best known for his work in the X-Men movie franchise, is reportedly considering directing the film himself, marking his documentary directorial debut.

According to Variety, Israeli filmmaker Yariv Horowitz is also set to co-produce the film, which is scheduled to open in theaters in the fall of 2016.
