Movie fans were able to catch a glimpse Wednesday of a trailer of biblical proportions: Ridley Scott's "Exodus: Gods and Kings," starring Christian Base as Moses and Joel Edgerton as Ramses.

The three-minute trailer previews the relationship between the leader of the Children of Israel and the Pharaoh of Egypt, as well as snippets of the 10 Plagues.
Bale watched Monty Python's "Life of Brian" to prepare for the role, according to the IGN website, saying he wanted to avoid unintentionally coming across as humorous when playing "something as earnest and heavyweight as this."
The movie takes liberty with the biblical story, portraying Moses as a fierce warrior in Pharaoh's army, not very sympathetic to the Jews, until he learns his true identity and comes to terms with it.
The star-studded cast also includes Ben Kingsley, Sigourney Weaver, John Turturro, Aaron Paul and Ben Mendelsohn. The move opens December 12.
