The Israel television format "Connected" (Mehubarim) has won the Realscreen West competition in Los Angeles.

Mehubarim ("Connected") was created in Israel by Ram Landes and Doron Tzabari, and is produced by Koda Communications.

The reality series on Israel’s Hot cable television company involves five protagonists making video clips about their daily lives. Mehubarim won the Docusoap prize.

The Realscreen West competition on the West Coast recognizes unscripted TV formats. This year, formats from the U.S., England and France took part. Mehubarim was the only Israeli prize-winner.

Other winners this year included The Amazing Race on CBS in the Docuformat category, and Oprah’s Lifeclass on OWN – The Oprah Winfrey Network in the Lifestyle-Health and Well-Being category.

Five seasons of Mehubarim have been broadcast so far in Israel, with the fifth expected in the fall. The format has been sold for production in 22 countries, including the U.S., Russia, Denmark and the Netherlands.
