American actress Scarlett Johansson is set to star in Taika Waititi's World War II drama "Jojo Rabbit," reported Variety magazine Thursday. In the movie, a young German boy in Hitler's youth army discovers that his mother, played by Johansson, is hiding a Jewish girl in their home.

The film director from New Zealand is now looking to cast a young actor to play the role of the German boy.

In April, Johansson will reprise her role as the Black Widow in the Marvel Comics feature film "Avengers: Infinity War," a sequel to the 2015's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Evans.
