The Biggest Hit at AIPAC: Trump Campaign Kippot
Kippa vendor Marc Daniels says he sold a handful of Cruz and Kasich kippot, but couldn't get rid of his stock of Clinton and Sanders ones.
Donald Trump kippot were the hottest item at this week's AIPAC conference in Washington, according to the Washington Free Beacon website.
Marc Daniels, owner of an online kippa store called Marc's Garden Jubilee, said he was "inundated" with requests for Trump kippot at his stall outside the AIPAC venue and sold out almost immediately.
“I totally underestimated the degree of support that Jewish people who are attending this event have for Trump,” Daniels said. “I probably had about 50 inquiries for Trump yarmulkes that I could not fulfill.”
Daniels, who was selling kippot with campaign logos outside the conference, also sold two or three Ted Cruz kippot and three or four for John Kasich. By Monday night, he only had Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders kippot left over and was having a hard time getting rid of them.
Trump, Cruz, Kasich and Clinton spoke at the AIPAC Policy Conference on Monday. Sanders did not attend the event.
