11. A weekend getaway to Europe.

Perhaps one of the biggest advantages of living in Israel is its proximity to the continent, which means that flights to most major European destinations are considerably cheaper from here. For anywhere between $350 and $700 (assuming you’re flexible with the dates), you can get three nights, including flights and accommodations in a four- or five-star hotel with breakfast, in many European capitals. If you were to make the trip from New York (and all the more so from Los Angeles), that would barely cover the flight.
