The son of billionaire investor George Soros has established a new PAC that will focus on domestic issues that interest liberal Jewish Americans, rather than U.S. foreign policy.

Alex Soros' new "Bend the Arc" PAC is said to be the first Jewish PAC not to make foreign policy a top priority, Politico reports. Instead, it will focus on issues like immigration reform, social justice, marriage equality and income inequality.

“One of the reasons behind doing this is that [the other Jewish groups] aren’t really representing the views of the American Jewish community," Politico cited the PAC's director, Hadar Susskind, as saying.

"And we know full well that the bluntest language in politics comes down to political dollars."

Soros, 29, has steadily increased his political and philanthropic giving in recent years. His father George, who made his fortune as a hedge fund manager, has donated millions to Democratic PACs, individuals, and causes in the past.

Bend the Arc PAC will back progressive candidates by making direct contributions to their campaign committees.

“There’s an opportunity to launch something that actually speaks to what the American Jewish community cares the most about and to show the narrative of what the real American Jewish experience is,” Alex Soros said in an interview.

Soros junior has yet to ask his father for a contribution, but other donors include Marc Baum, Paul Egerman, and Terry Winograd, according to the report.

The new PAC aims to raise $500,000 for 2016, according to Politico. It will likely wait out the primary before endorsing Hillary Clinton for president, but has already named 12 Democratic representatives that it plans to back in Congress.

"There are three branches of government. No matter who becomes president, they’ll be constrained by the House and Senate," Soros Jr. reportedly said.
