Right after the Haredi press in Israel decried Prime Minister Netanyahu's dining with Sheldon Adelson at a non-kosher restaurant, the Israeli leader, undaunted, met with donors in New Jersey at a seafood restaurant, Maariv reported Thursday.

Netanyahu had dined Monday at Fresco by Scotto with Adelson, the casino mogul who serves as the prime minister's patron, reportedly ordering veal. The Haredi papers called the gourmet establishment a "pig restaurant," according to Maariv.

The papers argued that a prime minister who vociferously advocated the rights of Jews to the territories could also pay attention to the religious obligations of Jews, at least in public, reported Jewish Business News.

The bad press either didn't reach or didn't impress Netanyahu, who then dined with Jewish billionaires, close associates and family members at New Jersey's prestigious Chart House, with its view of Manhattan from across the Hudson River.

Other Israeli dignitaries attended the dinner, including Israel's U.S. ambassador, Ron Dermer, his wife, and Ari Harrow, the PM's chief of staff, Maariv reported. Among the supporters were billionaire Mort Zuckerman, businessmen Morad Zamir, Daniel Levy and Israel Schwartz.
