Egyptian police arrested an Israeli tourist for drug possession in the Sinai Peninsula on Saturday, the Cairo Post reported.

According to the Egyptian Tourism and Antiquities Police, Shalom Ben Dal, 46, was arrested after police officers saw him smoking a marijuana cigarette as he entered his hotel in the town of Taba, near the Israeli border.

According to the Cairo Post, Ben Dal was detained and a search of his belongings found eight marijuana joints.
