Haaretz talks Bibi's 5th term, annexation, Iran and China

Haaretz’s diplomatic correspondent Noa Landau led a special video conversation with Amos Harel and Amir Tibon - Haaretz’s military and D.C. correspondents.

As Israel exits the coronavirus lockdown, but fears of a second wave persist, Amos (who has also been covering the coronavirus crisis in Israel ) dives into the Israeli government’s response. They discuss how it has impacted the forming of Israel’s new unity government and what Israeli authorities have planned for the future in terms of getting tourism and the economy moving again, while working to contain any future outbreaks.

Noa, who covers Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and follows him on global tours, also talks to Amir, who covers the Trump administration, about where Israel and the U.S. stand on a possible West Bank annexation and all the different players and interests involved. Any conversation of Israel’s standing in the Middle East today inevitably also touches on Iran, Russia and now China - all topics which Amos has covered for decades from inside the Israeli military establishment.
