WATCH: Netanyahu Welcomes Japanese Counterpart Abe to Israel

Japan's prime minister arrives in Israel for a state visit.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a press conference on Sunday with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who is visiting Israel.

"Well, I'm delighted to welcome you, prime minister," Netanyahu told Abe, in a video released by the Prime Minister's Office.

"I think—this is a reciprocal visit to the one I made in Japan. It gives us a historic opportunity to bring together the great capabilities of the people of Japan and the people of Israel.

"I think there are many economic areas and technological areas and other areas in which we can cooperate, and I look forward to doing that, for the benefit of both our peoples. You're welcome."
