A Germania airline plane collided with an El Al jet on the tarmac at Ben-Gurion Airport on Wednesday morning.
Israel Airport Authority said that the passengers disembarked the planes safely and that there were no injuries.
The German Boeing 737 plane was being pushed back from the gate, before taxiing for takeoff, when it collided with the nearby El Al Boeing 767.
The chief accident investigator opened an investigation into the incident, and the planes are out of commission until the conclusions are in.
The damage to the El Al jet is estimated at millions of shekels.
The El Al jet was slated to take off for Rome and the German to Berlin. The passengers are now waiting for alternative flights.
