Two Palestinians were shot and wounded on Tuesday after a suspected attempt to stab Israeli officers in the West Bank. According to a spokesperson for the Border Police, an officer in the Tapuah Junction noticed "two suspicious Palestinians heading towards one of the bus stations in the junction."

The officers initiated an arrest protocol and told the Palestinians to stop. According to them, one of the officers fired a warning shot in the air after the suspects refused to stop. One of the Palestinians then pulled out a knife and continued running towards the officers in the junction.

At this point both suspects were shot in the lower part of the body. There were no Israeli casualties in the incident.

An image from the scene of attack showed the two suspects lying on the ground after the shooting, before being arrested and transferred for medical care.
