Two Killed in Head-on Collision Near Dead Sea

Preliminary probe shows private car swerved from its lane to hit a bus on the Arad-Dead Sea road.

Two people were killed early Saturday morning after a bus and a private vehicle collided on the road connected the southern town of Arad and the Dead Sea.

According to a preliminary probe of the head-on collision, the private car swerved from its lane at the Khatrurim junction near the Bedouin settlement of Kebuah.

Police also said that both casualties came from the private car, with no injuries reported from any of the bus's passengers.

In another fatal car accident on Saturday, a woman, 43, was killed in the head-on collision at the entrance to Kibbutz Givat Oz.

On late Friday night, two people were moderately and seriously injured after a jeep overturned in Jaffa. The two men, in their thirties, were evacuated to Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital.
