A Palestinian car hit an Israeli vehicle at the entrance to the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba, near Hebron. The car's driver, identified as a woman, was shot dead by the Israeli army and two people were said lightly injured.
"Forces on site responded and fired toward the attacker, resulting in her death," the IDF said, claiming the driver veered toward the settlement's hitchhiking post, where the Israeli car was parked.
The Palestinian health services identified the woman as Majad Alhadur from the village of Bani Na'im near Hebron.
According to paramedics' report, slightly before 3pm, a Palestinian woman's car hit an Israeli vehicle head-on at the hitchhiking station directly outside the settlement.
MDA paramedics that were called to the scene administered first aid to two Israelis, a man and a woman, both in their 50s, who sustained light wounds.
It is unclear if incident was a premeditated attack or car accident.
