Two soldiers from the Nahal Brigade were filmed on a security camera torching a Palestinian-owned lumber warehouse in the West Bank city of Nablus late Wednesday night.

Video from the camera shows the two approaching the structure while holding a burning object, throwing it in and setting the place on fire. The soldiers left as the fire spread.

The incident was reported on Israel Channel 2 television news.

On Tuesday, five Nahal Brigade soldiers were documented beating a Palestinian man while arresting him.

The chief of Central Command, Maj. Gen. Roni Numa, ordered an investigation into the incident.

In a statement, the Spokesmans Office of the Israel Defense Forces said the probe was ordered immediately after the receipt of the video of the incident, which appeared to be an exceptional one. The findings will be submitted to Numa and any measures deemed necessary will be taken, the statement said.

The soldiers were part of a force guarding 700 Jewish worshippers at Josephs Tomb in Nablus. The IDF Spokesman said that stones and Molotov cocktails were thrown at buses carrying these worshippers as they entered Nablus, but no one was hurt. The army only learned about the arson incident after receiving the videotape.
