Man and the Living World Museum

Ramat Gan Safari 

The safari hosts a Purim happening with special activities and workshops (Thur 10.00-15.00). Regular offerings: The 250-acre park is home to 200 species of wild mammals, birds and reptiles, and offers tours, activities and workshops, led by staff members. JERUSALEM AND AREA

Jerusalem Marathon 

This annual running event, taking place on Friday, draws many amateur and professional runners from around the world. Optional course events include: 42.2 km (at 07.00), 21.3 km (at 06.45), 5 km (at 08.00), community race – 800 m (at 08.00), 10 km (at 09.30) and a family race – 1.7 km (at 10.30). Yad Vashem

Established as the world center for documentation, research, education and commemoration of the Holocaust and home to the Holocaust History Museum. It offers visitors a guided tour in English (see Tours) and presents a variety of important Survivors’ testimonies, personal diaries, artifacts and more. Special exhibit: Children in the Holocaust: Stars Without a Heaven The exhibit gives expression to the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust and displays their stories. Mini Israel

Monkey Park

HAIFA AND THE NORTH 

A Crusader Experience 

Home to the Hospitaller Fortress (Knights’ Hall), the Old City of Acre presents a series of medieval-themed activities based at the hall that includes candlelight dinners, costumed entertainers and actors (from Akko Theater), singing, dancing and a tournament of knights jousting on horseback. Special host, played by an actor, King Richard the Lionheart, who headed the Christian armies and re-conquered Acre during the Crusades, will attend each dinner and entertain guests. Hamat Gader

The compound invites guests to join in a carnival show, featuring Captain Hook and Crocodile Dundee, who will give lessons on crocodiles, lead guided tours and workshops, tell funny stories and more. Eilat Birds Festival 

The event, hosted by the Israel Ornithological Center of the SPNI, celebrates 10 years of bringing together birders from around the world for a week of guided tours and activities on birds, migrations and nature. Yitzhak Rabin Center

Celebrating the life and legacy of the assassinated prime minister, the center and its museum combine Rabin’s personal story with the development of the burgeoning Jewish State of Israel. Bird Watching Park

Bloomfield Science Museum

Star Path is a series of new experiments and workshops based on outer space throughout the museum.
