Star Festival (Tanabata)

Take in Japanese culture, art, architecture and cuisine with the annual Japanese star festival. Tuesdays at the Movies

Summer Drive-in

For the first time since the 1950s, Kfar Sava is home to a new drive-in theater, where visitors can enjoy watching movies on a massive screen outdoors, as well as a man-made beach area with beach loungers and food stalls. A special exhibit showcasing around 200 original short stories, poems and other texts written by well-known and budding authors, not intended for immediate publication. Shark World

Yitzhak Rabin Center

Celebrating the life and legacy of the assassinated prime minister, the center and its museum combine Rabin’s personal story with the development of the burgeoning Jewish State of Israel. Activities include guided historical tours, and educational workshops on such ideas as democracy and remembrance. The Safari

JERUSALEM AND AREA

 The Umbrella Street

An installation of over 1,000 multicolored umbrellas will decorate downtown Jerusalem’s Yoel Moshe Solomon Street, with street performances and local music productions being held throughout the summer. Open daily, at all hours.

3x3 StreetBall Tournament

The annual community-driven event, promoting the principles of sportsmanship and youth engagement, features over 1,000 basketball players participating in hundreds of games, and offers three days of sports attractions, with appearances by past and present professional basketball players, public figures and celebrities competing against each other, music, live broadcasts, shows and much more. Dinosaur Kingdom

Bible Lands Museum

Underwater Observatory Marine Park, Eilat

The park sits upon the coral reef of the Red Sea, providing an up-close introduction to the fauna of the Gulf of Eilat, including over 800 species of fish, corals, mollusks, turtles, rays and more. The park’s shark pool is home to 18 shark species, and offers an underwater observation tunnel, activities and displays. Additional attractions include the open-sea underwater observatory, aquariums, the Amazon Cabin (featuring fauna from the Amazon River), animal feedings, glass-bottomed boat cruises, 3D educational films and more.
