The Jaffa Port has turned into something of a hot spot in recent years, thanks to a massive facelift that has brought new cafes, bars and restaurants to the area, along with special one-off or seasonal activities. These events include shoe fairs, art exhibits, dance performances, food fests and more.

This summer, a new multidisciplinary project called "Platform" comes to the port to provide – you guessed it – a platform for designers, artists, musicians and other creative types to strut their stuff.

The mini-festival takes place along the port's eastern promenade, where audiences can stroll among some 40 booths showcasing video art, design and other artsy creations. There's also a stage for live performances and music gigs, a bar on site and a boutique Israeli beer booth.

The event takes place every Thursday in July and August from 6 P.M. to 11 P.M. The best part – aside from the cool seaside breeze? Admission is free.
