Three Killed, Five Injured in Serious Road Accident in Northern Israel

Emergency services arrived on the scene, wounded cleared to Rebecca Sieff Hospital in Safed.

Three people were killed and five injured in a serious road accident between on route 804 in northern Israel.

Emergency services that arrived on the scene transferred the wounded to Rebecca Sieff Hospital in Safed. Police have investigating the accident.

Yaniv, an emergency services paramedic said that three of the dead were removed from the burning vehicles.

“This is a very serious accident. The place looks like a battle field. The cars were in pieces and two went up in flames. The death of three was confirmed at the scene. The rest of the wounded have been taken to hospital,” Yaniv said.

Israel Liechenstein from the volunteer emergency service organization "United Hatzalah," who arrived on the scene to help, said that there were four vehicles involved in the accident, and that two of the cars set alight as a result of the accident.

He also described conditions on the road, saying that it was wet, and that visibility was good, even though the road has a lot of curves.

In another serious accident on Wednesday, Adi and Betty Schwartz from Rishon LeTzion were killed in a serious road accident on route 4, next to Yavneh junction.
