Exclusive: Facebook to Open Chip Design Center in Israel

Facebook joins Google, Microsoft and Amazon, and is already searching for a local executive to lead the project, in a move that will see Israel cement its status as an international chip powerhouse

Facebook is set to join the growing list of giant tech companies operating chip development centers in Israel. Haaretz has learned the social media platform is planning to set up a chip design center in Israel. The center will focus on developing chips intended for Facebook’s data centers and will support storage and processing operations.
