Some two months ago reports across the world went almost unnoticed in Israel. Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador called on Israel to extradite Tomas Zeron de Lucio, the former head of Mexico’s Criminal Investigation Agency.

Zeron is wanted for his involvement in the disappearance of 43 students from the Raul Isidro Burgos Teachers College in Ayotzinapa in 2014. But  the investigators in Mexico want to interview him as part of their investigation into an unrelated case – the purchase and misuse of the NSO Group’s Pegasus software.
