Intel and Nvidia have been slugging it out in recent years in the field of artificial intelligence chips used in data centers (server farms). Nvidia is considered the field leader in this area and its graphic processor units (GPUs) are used for running most of the heftier AI tasks on the cloud, such as computer vision. Intel, in turn, has been trying to crack Nvidia’s dominance with its own processors, but to no avail so far.
