The latest round of fighting between Israel and Hamas may have dealt a military blow to the Gaza terror organization, but it has led to what one militant described as a “spike” in donations to the group’s military wing, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

Hamas has seen a surge in digital donations in the form of cryptocurrencies, the report said, citing a Hamas official and online data. Using digital coins like bitcoin to receive funds from abroad allows the blacklisted group to circumnavigate sanctions.
