Israel’s Cellebrite announced recently that it would stop selling its phone-hacking technology to Hong Kong and China – a praiseworth decision, even if it came quite late and as a result of regulatory changes. However, this is far from the end of the firm’s problematic clients and further highlights the need to have the company put under stricter oversight.
