Arab media reported blasts near Quneitra in Syria, located close to the border with Israel. Israeli air force helicopter were spotted in the area, the reports said.
According to the reports, a Syrian army unit belonging to the Syrian army's 90th Brigade was attacked. The pro-regime Al Maydeen news outlet quoted Syrian military sources as denying the report of the Israeli attack, saying the 90th Brigade and its position were not attacked.
The reports come two days after an attack in Damascus attributed by the Syrian regime to Israel, and an incursion into Israeli airspace by a Syrian drone. The drone was shot down by the Israel Defense Forces over the Golan Heights.
On Thursday, explosions hit in the area of Damascus International Airport in Syria. Later, Syria's official news agency confirmed that Israel struck a military compound outside the capital's airport.
Syria's official news agency's report said the Thursday attack took place on a military compound southwest of the airport. The blasts were followed by a fire in the same place, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based war monitor.
