The 6th annual Chanukah Bowl was a one-sided affair, with the Judean “Orli Print” Rebels relying on a league-record 52-point first quarter to cruise through its game against the Jerusalem “Sarel Tours” Kings. The final tally was 80-0, as the Rebels moved to a perfect 4-0, while the Kings remained winless at 0-4.

The Rebel defense forced 11 turnovers and scored 6 touchdowns (three pick-sixes and three fumble recoveries) and two safeties. Dani Eastman scored four times in four different ways for the Rebels: a receiving touchdown, a fumble recovery, an interception return and a kick return.

Lions 44, Underdogs 30

The Jerusalem “Big Blue” Lions passing attack proved too hot to handle for the visiting Haifa “Nemo’s” Underdogs, who suffered their first loss of the season. Both teams are now 3-1.

Chaim Schiff completed 17/31 passes for 303 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions. Effi Mishaan caught four of the scores and David Abell caught three. Ndavyah Williams lead the visitors with 62 yards and three TDs on the ground.

Down south, the visiting Tel Aviv “Hotel Gilgal” Pioneers blanked the Be’er Sheva “Travel Leaders” Black Swarm 44-0. Tel Aviv moved to 3-1, while Be’er Sheva fell to 1-3.

The Tel Avivians took advantage of good field position throughout the entire game and the defense shut out the local offense. Adi Hakami threw for 4 scores while Elan Neiger and Asaf Katz each had a pick-6 for the victorious Pioneers.
