A pre-season soccer match between Maccabi Haifa and French club Lille, held in Austria, had to be abandoned on Wednesday when a small group of pro-Palestinian activists invaded the pitch, according to a post on the Sportige website.

The interruption came in the 85th minute, when Lille was leading 2-0. Some of the Maccabi players apparently retaliated and a massive brawl resulted. The match was abandoned and stadium security evicted the invaders.
No injuries were reported.
