GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany - Anders Jacobsen of Norway edged defending champion Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria yesterday to win his second straight stop of the Four Hills ski jumping tour.

Jacobsen went 143 meters in the second round of jumps to rise from ninth to first. On his first jump, he nearly lost control because of the wind.

Jacobsen leads the tour at the halfway mark before the final two jumps in Austria. He is closing in on his second tour victory after 2007.

Schlierenzauer prevented a Norwegian sweep of the podium. The World Cup leader was less than a full point behind Jacobsen. Tom Hilde made it a good day for Norway with fourth place, ahead of Poland's Maciej Kot, but there was disappointment for home fans, with youngster Andreas Wellinger best placed at ninth.
