Hugo Wainstein won the A division of Gaash Golf’s March monthly medal, but only after a tiebreaker.

After winter rains washed out the January and February medal contests, weather conditions permitted the March monthly medal to be played as the first such contest of 2016.

In the A division Wainstein and Meier Dor both had net 72 with Hugo winning on the count back. Elisha Hillel won the B division with a net 68, followed by Amos Burstein on net 70. In the Super Seniors division, Howard Ross and Joe Klein both had scores of net 71, with Howard winning on the count back.

The best gross score of the day was played by David Pachima. Nearest to the pin prizes went to Joe Klein and Brian Mehl.

In the “horse race” tournament held on Purim, the team of Arik Heannig and Gideon Suesskind beat Alon Granot and Uri Blum on the ninth hole.

This was the second time a horse race was held at Gaash Golf Club, in which 20 players were divided into 10 two-person teams and one duo was eliminated after every hold to leave two teams at the ninth hole.
