The Ga’ash Golf Club, its members and visitors made a combined effort with the Alumni Association of the Israel Defense Forces’ Unit 8200 last week to collect funds for scholarships for soldiers who have served in the unit.

There was a full morning field of 60 golfers playing a better-ball stableford format over 18 holes. In the afternoon, there was a 9-hole individual tournament played in an A & B division, where 60 golfers participated also.

The winners of the morning tournament were Liron Naor and Amiram Zantkern, followed by Gil Don and Warren Berman.

In the afternoon, Amos Aharoni won the A division, followed by Shmulik Goshen. David Ashkenazi won the B division, finishing ahead of second-placed Zvia Lifshitz.

At the prize-giving ceremony, the head of the 8200 Alumni Association, Nir Lampert, thanked the CEO of Ga’ash Golf Club, Gili Peleg, for hosting the event and Rachel Weitzman for all her help and support.
