This year’s edition of Mundial Tel Aviv has seen plenty of goals, and Argentina has been the most prolific with 47 scores in three matches.
Amit Tal is tops in the league with 12 goals for Group B leader Argentina. Teammates Gaston Nudman (10) Diego Mayo (9) and Martin Goldman (7) join Tal among the highest scorers in Group B.
Argentina has already qualified for the top 16 along with Uruguay and Brazil. The last spot left is a challenge between Monte Carlo and Sweden, while Peru is still looking for its first point.
In Group A the top scorer is Ilan Karlik, (5, Paraguay), Jim Amram (France), Dor Etedegui and Alex Assedo are all tied for second in the group with four goals. With only two games left it will be tough for Mexico and San Marino to find a qualifying spot.
The top scorer in Group C is Ecuador’s Ari Goloboff, who is second in the league with 11 goals. He is followed by Yosef Vaisman (6, Venezuela) and Omer Peleg 5 (Great Britain). In this group Ecuador and Venezuela are set for the playoffs, while Switzerland, Great Britain, Italy U21 and Germany are trying to get to the last two available spots.
On Thursday night, Israel and Italy played an important game for Group D, with Israel triumphing 12-7 and securing a spot in the playoffs.
