Cyril Kaufman returned to competitive golf with a gross 74 at the May Monthly Medal at the Gaash Golf Club on Tuesday.

Nearly 40 golfers participated in warm and windy conditions.

Kaufman played the front nine with two birdies, six pars and one bogey, giving him a one-under-par 34. He then came home in a five-over-par 40, which included one birdie, two pars and six bogeys that gave the excellent score of 74 and the cup for the best gross score.

In the A division, the cup went to Jonathan Stutson, followed by Greg Elliot, who beat Raphy Harroche on the countback for second place. It was a good day for the Kaufman family with Cyril’s wife Norma Kaufman winning the B division, followed by Dani Levin.

Howard Ross, with Jonathan Inbar in second place, won the super seniors.

Nearest to the pin prizes went to Gill Sadeghi and Greg Elliot.

Yoav Shenhav from the Gaash Golf Club and Guy Benhamou from Caesarea will represent Israel in the International Pairs tournament for club members to be played later in the year in Spain. They came first in the qualifying round at Caesarea and in the finals that were played at Gaash last Wednesday.
