The Judean Rebels dominated the Jerusalem Lions, holding them to a mere 18 net yards of offense and zero points in a 44-0 route last weekend in Israel Football League regular season action.

In the weekend’s other two matches, the Mazkeret Batya SIlverbacks trounced the Jerusalem Kings 38-12, while the Haifa Underdogs relied on their defense to upend the Ramat HaSharon Hammers 22-12
Quarterback Avrahami Farkas, who led the Rebels with 7/14 passing for 77 yards, three touchdowns and a rushing touchdown, guided the Rebels. Uria Loberbom took charge of the defense with 8 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks.
The first ever win for the Silverbacks franchise was done in style, as the team rushed for over 300 yards. Veteran fullback Joe Glickman shredded the Kings’ defense with a 113-yard, 4-TD performance.
The Underdogs surprised the visiting Hammers with a stout defense that forced 6 turnovers. The special team also put on a spectacular performance that included 2 successful onside kicks and a fake punt. Jason Armstead led Haifa with 66 rushing yards and 2 TDs on 26 carries.
