Move Over Ronaldo: Real Madrid to Hold Talent-scouting Camp in Israel
Spanish soccer club expected to arrive in Ashkelon this summer, according to press statement.

The prestigious Spanish soccer club Real Madrid will grace Israel this summer with a week-long camp for young Israeli athletes, a press statement announced Tuesday.
The camp, due to take place in the southern city of Ashkelon, will give Israelis aged seven to 17 the opportunity to train with some of the world's best coaching teams in the presence of top talent scouts, the statement said.
"Thousands of people will come to Ashkelon this summer to enjoy the camp – young soccer players and their parents, the Real Madrid team, tourists and others," Ashkelon Mayor Shimoni said.
This will be the first time Real Madrid runs such a summer camp in Israel, according to the statement, which added that logistics and the final decision as to whether the event will definitely take place are expected to be confirmed this week.
