Olim Cup holder Jerusalem will defend its title tomorrow against Aviv City at Nes Tziona stadium.
The current cup holder made it through to the showpiece final, after an impressive win over league champion elect Bambi in the first semifinal, played earlier this month. Aviv City advanced to the final by defeating England FC 5-3 on Wednesday.
England FC was looking to take revenge on Jerusalem, in what would have been a repeat of last year’s final, but Aviv City, which won the cup in 2012, proved too strong.
Will Jerusalem win a trophy for an unprecedented third year in a row?
Jerusalem, going for an unprecedented third trophy in a row, is one of the traditional “big two” of the Olim Football League, alongside England FC. It started as a group of ex-pats playing midweek over 20 years ago and is one of the founding members of the Olim League.
Aviv City was founded in 2010 by Uri Schneider and Richard Binstock. The team finished third place in the league last year.
TeamSnap is the sponsor this year of the Olim Cup Final.
