Israeli windsurfer Shahar Zubari won a silver medal in NeilPryde windsurfing at the European Championships last week in Brest, France.

The Beijing bronze medal winner finished sixth and fourth in the first two medal races. He then came in first in the third race, reaching the same number of points as Pierre Le Coq of France and assuring himself second place in the championships.
Greece’s Byron Kokalanis took the gold.
Zubari had previously won gold medals at the European Championships in 2009 and 2010.
Maayan Davidovich was also in sight of a medal after 11 races, but then finished 14th in the final race and in the end placed fifth. Nimrod Mashiah finished the last races in ninth, third, and ninth place, ranking seventh at the finish.
