Golf / Steve Taylor Tops Field of 40 at Israeli 'Monthly Medal' Tournament

In extremely hot conditions, just over 40 golfers played in the April Monthly Medal at the Gaash Golf Club. The best gross score of the day was Steve Taylor with 75 shots.

Taylor’s front nine of 2 over par 37 included a birdie, six pars, a bogey and a double bogey. He came home in 38 with six pars and three bogeys, giving him a gross 5 over par 75.

Mike Ossip and Meyer Iny both had net 73 in the super seniors, with Mike winning on the count back.

The A division went to Moolie Avishar with a net 68, followed by Yonatan Stutzen. Gershon Feldman also scored a net 68, but in the B division to win the cup in that category. Gill Sadeghi finished in second place.

The Nearest to the Pin prize went to Gershon Feldman.

The Gaash Golf Club announced this week it plans to hold a charity tournament on behalf of the “Make a Wish” foundation on the May 9. Information can be received at the Gaash Golf Club.
