Bud’s Boys Modi'in bounced back from a pair of losses last week to the league-leading Tel Aviv Comrades by defeating Jerusalem on Tuesday, 12-5.

Albert Levy opened the game for Modi'in with a double to left-center and scored the game’s first run. Bud’s Boys effectively put the game out of reach in the second inning, with a six-run barrage. By the end of the game, eight of Modiin’s nine batters had recorded at least one hit. Player-coach Noam Markose scored four times for Bud’s Boys and pitcher Yotam Ben Amram helped his cause by contributed a single and a double.
Matti Laufer led off the game for Jerusalem with a hard-hit ball up the middle that was stabbed by Ben Amram. Laufer was later denied hits on fine defensive plays by shortstop Nachum Twersky and third baseman Jeff Mor. Nachman Siegel was Jerusalem ’s offensive standout, stroking three hits. Another highlight for Jerusalem was a steal of home by Ilan Klein.
In action next week, Jerusalem will face Tel Aviv on Tuesday, while Modi'in will play against Raanana on Sunday and again on Thursday. All games are at 7:15 PM at the Baptist Village field.
