Anthony Harris played brilliant golf to have the best gross score at the June Monthly Medal at the Gaash Golf Club this week.
Nearly 50 golfers participated in very warm conditions.
Harris played the front nine in 37 strokes, which included one birdie, five pars and three bogeys. He came back with a one under par 34, with one eagle, one birdie, five pars and two bogeys, which gave him a total of 71.
In the A division, Zalman Shahaff and Shmulik Almagor both finished with a net 71, with Zalman taking first place on the count back. Richard Fogelson won the B division, followed by Linda Streit. The C division was won by Adele Katz, with Gill Sadeghi taking second place.
Nearest to the pin prizes went to Yerucham Shafat and Judy Reefe.
Meanwhile, 18 Gaash club members and some of their friends visited the Korineum golf resort in northern Cyprus to participate in a two-day individual stableford tournament. First place went to Meier Dor, followed by Chaim Shaininger. Third place went to David Amir.
The prize for the best score on the first day went to Zalman Shahaff, and on the second day to Meir Dor.
