A 19-year-old female soldier was killed and dozens other passengers - all soldiers - were injured when a bus overturned near the West Bank settlement Kohav Hashahar on Thursday.

The soldier was identified as Cpl. Stav Partush of Ma'aleh Adumim.

The accident was a result of the driver losing control of the vehicle, the police said.

The passengers were rushed by helicopter and ambulance to several hospitals in central Israel.
