Smitten With the Georgian Kitchen

'Tel Aviv Table' goes on a mouth-watering journey that explores varied and sumptuous Georgian dishes from the cheesy goodness of khachapuri to the grappa-like chacha.

This program is devoted to the cuisine of "Sakartvelo" – what Georgians call their homeland. Darra Goldstein, editor of Gastronomica magazine, talks about her book "The Georgian Feast." Nana Shrier explains why she turned Tel Aviv's famed Nanuchka restaurant vegan, and Georgian old-timers weigh in on the meatless dishes. Travel writer and tour guide Yuval Ben Ami, talks about what he ate on many trips to the republic, while wine specialist Tal Gal Cohen demystifies Georgian vino and the grappa-like chacha.
