Veteran British singer and songwriter Rod Stewart will be coming to Israel to perform on June 14 at Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv.
Stewart, whose albums have sold more than 100 million copies, will be in Israel as part of a concert tour promoting his album “Another Country,” which came out in 2015. Stewart is also expected to treat his audience to some of his big hits including “Baby Jane” and “Sailing.” Ticket prices begin at 290 shekels ($76).
This will be Stewart’s third appearance in Israel. The first time was in 1983 at the Ramat Gan Stadium, followed by a second visit in 2010. The show is being produced by Udi Appelboim, who also brought Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Deep Purple and Queen to Israel.
The Brazilian singer-songwriter Seu Jorge is also scheduled to come to Israel for a concert on May 22. The show, a tribute to David Bowie, will be held at the Tel Aviv Center for the Performing Arts.
Jorge gained worldwide fame after his covers of Bowie’s songs appeared on the sound track of Wes Anderson’s film “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.” Jorge also took part in the film “City of God,” directed by Fernando Meirelles. Ticket prices will range from 200 to 260 shekels.
